Flower Down Avenue Cranwell Lincolnshire, when we eventually found the bird it looked sick, it was perched near a window with its eye closed and allowed its self to be touched, if it survives the night i will be surprised.
Boultham Mere, i found this superb bird at 7.30am this morning and with the light behind me i managed to get off several shots as it posed at close range.
At 9.20am a stunning Caspian Tern flew onto Boultham mere it fished the pit for twenty minutes catching a large fish then flew west at 9.40am, the Tern returned five minutes later circled the lake several times and flew distantly east, it then returned again at 9.53am and flew around the lake until 10.00am when it flew south, we sat for another couple of hours but it was eventually found at the Apex pit.
The Caspian Tern was later found at Apex pit North Hykeham were it showed extremely well until late evening when it was watched flying north.
Horseshoe Point Lincolnshire July 2002, a new bird for me in Lincolnshire, i drove straight from work and had stunning views of this bird, tried out the camera again only just getting used to working it.
