We walked the mile or so along the sea wall, and easily saw this bird, walking back was a different matter, it took us 25 minutes against the wind, which kept blowing you back.

The first one i have seen in Lincs since 1998 when two were at Fishtoft, as i walked the field edge i saw the Richards stood in a rut, it flew a little way then landed quite close and gave stunning views through the scope, though a little distant i managed these shots with the D20.
