Been playing with some old pics, this one taken in the dark Goa 8th April 2014

SAVANNA NIGHTJAR

 This bird is sat over two young at side of footpath, Goa India 18th March 2011. We first found her sitting on the 12th March late afternoon it flew up from side of track we were inch's from walking on it in all three birds were found on ground two still had eggs.

We almost trod on these two baby nightjars, they were right on the edge of a track, we returned the following evening to check on them and found two more nests. Goa India March 2011

GOA, Two birds present at our site, stunning views of both in good day light, but only came this close when it got dark, also at least 10 Jerdon's seen on the top and as we drove back down the track, amazing place.

One of the highlights of the trip.
We now know that two of the three nightjars we were showen at Backwoods were the wrong species, both the Savanna and Jerdon's were seen here at close range and heard calling, awesome birds.
