This used to be an easy bird to get every spring and Autumn at the pit, but in recent years i seem to miss them as they only stay briefly, the Last Northern Wheatear i saw was in 2006 and a Greenland in 2008 and 2009 so its been 3 years since i saw one at Boultham Mere.

Boultham Mere, i found this superb bird at 7.30am this morning and with the light behind me i managed to get off several shots as it posed at close range.
