RED LEGGED THRUSH

A very flighty bird, two kept coming to the cake we put out, but would fly off  and sit in the canopy if they saw anyone. This bird was in the woodland outside Sol Rio de Luna and came out while pisshing for Warblers.

GREATER YELLOWLEGS

Rare migrant through this area, stood with several Black Necked Stilts. Cuba 2016

Cracking birds seen everyday around the sewage works.

SMOOTH BILLED ANI

We saw these birds several times in Hotels Garden, they call to each other frequently so are easy to pick up, plus they look weird when in flight, very distinctive shape. Cuba 2016

LEAST GREBE

About four birds seen most days, though could be hard to see at times as they liked to go under the mangroves along lake edge.
