Twenty Waxwings at Tetney Loch Lincolnshire this morning along the road just beyond the old Church, flighty at times but when settled showed well at close range.

A stunning little bird that showed well several times on one of the tracks, i managed to get scope views but it was to distant for Digi scoping and the light was not good, i managed a few seconds of very shakey video and got these two as grabs off the tape.

Despite a better day still not a good subject for digi scoping, very active and mobile this morning as well as being to close to the wall.
Around mid day we picked up eight Ruddy Shelduck flying in from the east, they landed on the southern most pit with feral Geese, after several minutes the Geese flew the Shelducks also took to the air and flew, we then relocated them on a pit further up the road.
As i walked through rank grass at Boultham Mere this recently fledged Reed Warbler flew up onto my arm, i put it back on the reeds and within seconds both parent birds were around me, i quickly took this picture then moved away the parents then carried on feeding the young bird.
After a very slow spring in Lincolnshire the lure of a Woodchat and a Red Backed Shrike in our own county was to good to miss, both birds showed really well all evening, though the Red Backed was distant
