Witham area 9th Jan 2025, never seen them this close at top of track, the normal feeding area under water and froze -3 while i was there.

MEADOW PIPIT

Totally Froze probably below -5 in night coldest night and day for 15 years, 9th January 2025, At least 12 pipits counted with the Wagtails on the ice, right near the track at bottom of my street

PIED WAGTAIL

Every were frozen solid below -3 today, 20 odd Pied Wags on the ice 9th Jan 2025

I was looking out my front room window as i had just put out some old bread for the Gulls i saw this bird heading towards me i grabbed my camera shot outside and managed a few pics in the failing light, it was just after 3.30pm, a first for my garden as it flew right over and kept going over the river towards Hykeham.
