INDIAN ROLLER

Just one of the best birds in Goa, note the top bird has bill damage, we had one with a broke bill last year on Baga, the same place as this bird.

TEREK SANDPIPER

First one we have ever seen on Morjim Beach, with a group of Sandplovers.

GREATER SANDPLOVER

Common enough on Morjim beach and probably the easiest place to encounter both Sandplovers in North Goa. April 2015

Common enough around open fields and light scrub in Goa, this one on land outside Hotel. Arpora 2015

CHESTNUT SHOULDERED PETRONIA

Actively feeding in front of us as we had breakfast at Bondla, you can just make out the yellow on the throat.

COMMON MYNA

Not so Common, Common Myna in Goa, though odd ones can be found at the base of Baga Hill.

In the grounds of the Marhina Dourda 15 subspecies currently recognized the Indian birds are of the race, capensis. But certainly not the bird depicted in  HBW checklist
