I now use a Canon 7D mk11 with a Sigma 150-600 Sports. Most of the Moth Pics are taken with my Phone.

GARDEN MOTHS

I first started Mothing at Boultham Mere back in 1995 then in my Garden at Shakespeare Street the same year, we Mothed for two years at the Mere but i kept on in my garden until 2013. I caught a total of 314 in that Garden. We then moved House in August 2015 but i let the Mothing lapse, i bought a Trap in July 2025 and Started again in this Garden. I use a twin 20w actinic in a white plastic trap in the back Garden and a single 20w Actinic in the front garden. I made a triple, so 60w of Actinic which i ran in the summer. Total caught as of 17th August 2026 484
