BOULTHAM MERE

Couple of pics taken this morning of Boultham Mere, rather dull in the low cloud but covered in Ducks, two Greenshank over and several warblers still around and the Garganey as always distant.

Green Woodpecker

This cracking Juv flew up from the track as i walked down the pit early this morning, it flew a short distance and landed in full view briefly, i managed four shots two poor ones and these two before it flew off into Swanpool wood.

Grey Heron

Little Egret

One of twelve birds around Jacksons Marsh Gibralter Point this morning, most people seemed to be ignoring them, it was only back in 1987 when i twitched one at frampton Marsh with over 50 other people all eager to see it, how times change with them now breeding in the County.

WOODCHAT SHRIKE

FRISKNEY LINCOLNSHIRE.
This distant Woodchat showed well in the windy conditions.

GARGANEY

BOULTHAM MERE.
This superb duck has now been present for six days but always distant, today it was right in front of the hide but mostly out of view behind the reeds so really difficult to photograph.
Three Curlew over as well this afternoon making local patch watching a treat.
