Common around arpora, over hotels and around the salt pans. 2016



ORIENTAL MAGPIE ROBIN

Very common around Arpora Goa. Female sitting on wires in Bondla.




SMALL MINIVET

Seen most days in Arpora, Bondla, Baga Hill and Mayam Lake. This is a stunning male.


WHITE BREASTED KINGFISHER

Still my favourite bird, so really pleased its common in Goa

Tambi Surla Temple, common along the river.

RUFOUS WOODPECKER

Not always east to see but with a little patience can be found in Arpora Woods. They seem to like the Ants nests made from dead leaves and suspended in tree branch's.

Common bird in the Woods around Arpora.







ASIAN PARADISE FLYCATCHER

Not a common bird around Arpora but can be found with a little effort, easier to see in Bondla or at Mayam Lake.Adult male with full tail.

BLACK HOODED ORIOLE

Really common in Arpora were it can be found with Indian Golden Oriole (sub-Species), a stunning bird best looked for in the mornings when very active. Male and female alike, unlike Eurasian Golden



INDIAN ROBIN

A bird of open areas, found in Arpora Woods and Baga Hill easily enough.

Alkborough 19th September, upto five seen in the morning.
