LESSER COUCAL

Much smaller than the Greater Coucal i have seen in India, the juveniles looked like large billed cuckoos, Chao Lak Thailand 2013

Always distant apart from 2 right over our heads as it was hammering in down in Khoa Lak Village

Lanius cristatus confusus
We saw several of the race lucionensis they have a greyish blue looking forehead, have a pic of it when I get through them

Very common in whole area, even in the hotel grounds which were quite sterile, two races seen these presumed confuses and the grey headed lucionensis, also superciliosus occur in the south and cristatus anywere, sub-species can be a headache.
