COMMON KESTREL

Rain, wind and cloud, roll on the summer.

Sanderling

Another miserable day on the Lincs coast, poor weather and no birds, the best we found were a Chiffchaff and a Willow Warbler.

Red Breasted Goose

Donna Nook Lincolnshire
If these are genuine migrants they must be the first twitchable ones in the County since 1985, the light was grot today, cloudy with mist so these shots turned out ok really, took at 200asa then tampered with on the computer as they were very dark.

Red Breasted Goose

Bird number one the other feeding to the left of this bird in the same channel.

Red Breasted Goose

Second bird in these four pictures.
The black stripes on the white flank are not as extensive as the bird above.

GUILLEMOT

Sandilands Huttoft Lincolnshire.
This poor creature was rescued off the tide line, its breast bone was sticking out of its chest, we dried it off and wrapped it up warm but the poor thing died ten minutes later, most likely it starved to death.
