The first one i have seen in Lincs since 1998 when two were at Fishtoft, as i walked the field edge i saw the Richards stood in a rut, it flew a little way then landed quite close and gave stunning views through the scope, though a little distant i managed these shots with the D20.

A typical Chiffchaff was present and calling alongside this bird, the called differed on both birds the nominate bird gave a Huwit type call as well as typical song and this bird a hiit or wit type call, very hard to put into words really, i thought it could be a Sibe Chiffy but it could also be of Scandinavian origin.

A very distant record shot, taken in fog 9.30am, just before we were thrown off the river bank by an abusive farmer.

COMMON BUZZARD

Common Buzzards getting some stick off the local Corvids this morning.

BLACK KITE

Showed really well this morning, perched till 10.45am then flew to small wood, then flew back over fields at Ram farm with 5 Common Buzzards circled the area for over half an hour then landed back on post near farm, still on view when we left at mid-day.

These are the best perched shots i have seen so far, i'm still not convinced its a pure Black Kite though, its head looks very grey for that species, also the rufous is just to bright and it also appears rufous on the rump, could it be a Hybrid Red X Black Kite or something from the Middle East.
