Osprey

Boultham Mere August 2008
A Juv and the same bird we found over two weeks ago here, We had only been in the hide for a few minutes when all the ducks took to the air, i looked up and there was the Osprey, it started to circle the lake i took a few pictures then i came out of the hide to get a better view as it was distant, but as i did that the Osprey dived and caught a small fish

NORTHERN WHEATEAR

Huttoft, on the beach, couple of Black terns and a few Arctic Skuas being the hightlight this morning.

Hobby

Stunning birds, upto three over the pit this afternoon, hunting Dragonflies.

Redstart

A Mega morning at the pit, Common Buzzard over Swanpool wood, Common Snipe on the Tip, Juvenile Shelduck flew over two Spot Flys and this spanking male Redstart gave awesome if distant views on the track and perched on tip fence,few warblers still around, Common and Lesser Whitethroat, Blackcap, willows and Chiffs.
