EPIPHYAS POSTVITTANA-LIGHT BROWN APPLE MOTH

28th October 2025, a total of 8 moths of 5 species caught in trap, it rained again in the night so i moved trap under cover, not ideal but better than nothing.

All species caught below in pictures, this one Epiphyas postvittana is common, four caught last night giving a grand total of 376 of them this year.

Quite common this one being the 69th in Garden this year

Another Locally rare bird Golden Plover, a good sized flock of around 130 birds, been in the area for a week or so now but always distant

LUNAR UNDERWING

This was a new Moth for me in the Garden this year, only seen one before and that was caught at Boultham Mere in 1995, caught the first one on 18th Sept, then caught on 24 more occasions totaling 132
