 A cold night 28th Feb, which showed with only a single Moth caught the 7th Hebrew Character for the year

COMMON BUZZARD

 Two Buzzards from Garden today, 28th Feb one distant but stunning views of this bird as it circled over the Garden at the same time as Red Kite and Sparrowhawk.

 One of the two Red kites circling the Horse field then Calder road, both had come from Hykeham side of River, across Paddocks and into my Street, 28th Feb 2026

WEDNESDAY 25TH FEBRUARY 2026

 four species of Moth caught tonight, 25th Feb but nine overall 2 more Agonopterix heracliana-Common brindled brown, single Common Quaker two Clouded Drab and four Hebrew Character, all four species were only new for Garden this year.

TUESDAY 24th FEBRUARY 2026

 Three new species for Garden 24th Feb 2026,  Two Hebrew Character, single Dark Chestnut and a Tortricodes alternella-Spring Harbinger, taking my Garden list to 276 species, also caught were Nine Common Quaker another two Agonopterix heracliana and a Clouded Drab, not on many for the year so far, 10 being the count. It will be a full year of Mothing had a few old records of bits caught but really started last July so hoping for a big list this year.

 A new Moth for Garden a very dark and slightly worn Spring Harbinger, 24th Feb 2026




DARK CHESTNUT

 Never caught this Moth before so another new one for Garden 24th Feb 2026, a slightly paler individual and quite worn due to all the rain lately.





AGONOPTERIX HERACLIANA- COMMON BRINDLED BROWN

 Was only new for Garden on the 23rd so two more tonight was a good record, 24th Feb 2026
