An awesome morning on my local patch, I found this second summer Med Gull roosting in the field behind the reserve, seen to be ringed but to distant even for digi pics, it eventually flew onto the pit but was mostly hidden behind the raft, after a few minutes took to the air and circled several times calling then flew off west.
Also seen today a Buzzard, 2 Curlew a Grey wagtail and at 9.30am a spanking Sandwich Tern flew over the lake circled several times then flew North.
Five year ticks for the patch in two and a half hours.
